Troubleshooting
The problems server owners actually hit.

Check the server console first. Each card gives the symptom, the likely cause and the fix.
Startup
Console:
AlphaTools is disabled — this server is waiting for approval.- Cause
- A new server starts as pending, and the plugin stays off until AlphaStudio approves it.
- Fix
- Send the server id from the next console line to AlphaStudio, then restart once it is approved. See Server approval.
Giving tools
Unknown tool: …- Cause
- The key is not a section in
config.yml, or it is a reserved key. - Fix
- Use a key from The tools, in lower case.
Invalid duration- Cause
- The duration was missing, zero, or not made of numbers with
d,h,mors. - Fix
- Use a form like
30mor1d2h. See Duration format.
The command says the inventory is full
- Cause
- The target has no empty slot.
- Fix
- Ask them to free one and run it again.
Using tools
A tool does nothing special
- Cause
- You are in a blocked world or a WorldGuard region from
blacklisted-areas, the block is not in the tool list, the Rocket is used while not gliding, or the Feather is used in the air. - Fix
- See The tools for each tool block list and conditions.
The tool disappeared and the player was told their time ran out
- Cause
- It expired. Time counts on the wall clock, even while the tool was in a chest.
- Fix
- Give a new one with a longer duration.
No sound or particles
- Cause
- The player turned them off with
/atools toggle, or a sound or particle name inconfig.ymlis invalid. - Fix
- Run
/atools toggleagain, and check the names.
Combat
Tools still work during PvP
- Cause
- PvPManager is declared as a soft dependency and a
combat-blockedmessage exists, but this version has no combat check. - Fix
- Block combat areas with a WorldGuard region in
blacklisted-areas.
