Requirements

| Server software | Paper, Purpur, Leaf or Folia | Folia support is declared. |
| Minecraft | 1.21.4 or newer | Jars are built per Minecraft version, see Choose the right jar. |
| Java | 21 or 25 | 1.21.x servers use Java 21. 26.x servers use Java 25. |
| Vault + an economy plugin | Required | Without a provider, ordering and payouts are unavailable. |
| Network | Outgoing HTTPS | For server approval, and to download libraries on first start. |
Choose the right jar
AlphaOrder-<version>-mc-<minecraft>-java<java>.jar
Use the jar whose mc- part matches your server. A jar built for 26.x is compiled for Java 25 and will not load on Java 21.
Install
- Stop the server and put the jar in
plugins/, with Vault and your economy plugin. - Start it. The plugin downloads its libraries (NLib, HikariCP and a JSON library) on first start, then creates
plugins/AlphaOrder/withconfig.yml,menu.yml,webhooks.yml,customitems.ymlandlang/. - Get approved. A new server is pending and the plugin stays off. The console prints your server id. Send it to AlphaStudio, wait for approval and restart. See Server approval.
- Test. Run
/order.
Update
- Back up
plugins/AlphaOrder/. The SQLite file holds every order. - Replace the jar and restart.
/orderadmin reloadnever loads a new jar.
Moving from NOrder (v1)
AlphaOrder 2 is a clean break from the NOrder-based 1.x.
- Delete the old config so it regenerates. Settings do not carry over.
- Permissions were renamed from
norder.*toalphaorder.*. Update your permission groups. - The two language files were merged into one English
lang/messages.yml. - The database tables are unchanged, so existing orders and statistics carry over.
