AlphaLevels
A long-term leveling system for Paper. Players earn XP from playtime, kills and mobs, finish quest objectives, claim each level from a catalog menu, and prestige at the top.

What you get
A long-term leveling system that players work toward and claim, instead of levels handed out automatically.
Claim-based levels
XP fills a level up. The player then clicks it in the menu to claim it, confirms, and the rewards run. Nothing is granted behind their back.
How levels workThree XP sources
Playtime is the steady source, player kills the biggest burst, mob kills the smallest but most repeatable. All three have separate rates.
XP sourcesQuest objectives
A level can also demand kills of a given mob, player kills, or an advancement before it can be claimed.
ObjectivesPrestige
Claiming the last level wraps the player back to level 1 and adds one to their prestige count.
PrestigeRewards as commands
Every reward is a list of console commands. Money scales with the level's cost, and milestone levels hand out items.
RewardsA catalog menu
One 54-slot menu lists every level as a head icon: claimed, ready, in progress or locked.
MenuQuick start
From the jar to a working level ladder.
- Install and start. Drop the jar in
plugins/and start the server. A new server stays disabled until AlphaStudio approves it, see Server approval. - Pick your pace.
xp-sourcesinconfig.ymlsets how fast players earn XP.xp-curveinlevels.ymlsets how much each level costs. - Check the money command. The shipped level reward runs
money give {player} {money}, which is CMI's syntax. Change it if your economy plugin uses another command. - Replace the item rewards. The milestone levels hand out vanilla items. Swap them for your own give commands.
- Reload.
/leveladmin reloadapplies any edit. No restart needed.
Requirements
| Plugin | Required? | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| None | Always works | XP, levels, objectives, prestige, the menu and rewards. |
PlaceholderAPI | Optional | Registers %alphalevels_*%, see Placeholders. |
CMI | Optional | Only because the shipped money reward uses CMI's money give. Any plugin that provides the command you write there will do. |
Vault | Optional | Listed as a soft dependency, but the plugin does not call it. Rewards are plain console commands. |
