How it works
What a player receives, what happens when they boost, and what the plugin protects.
The join kit
When a player joins, the plugin waits join-delay-ticks (10 by default, half a second) and then, if the player is still online:
- Skips the player if they do not have
aab.use, or if they are in a disabled world. - With
elytra.enabled, puts an elytra in the chest slot. This replaces any chestplate already worn. - With
firework.enabled, puts one firework rocket in the off hand, at the configured power.
The delay matters on lobby networks that clear inventories on join. Keep it at 10 or more so the kit arrives after the clear.
The boost cycle
- Fire. The player glides and uses the rocket. The plugin sees a firework launched by a gliding player.
- Cooldown starts. The rocket is gone from the off hand and the countdown begins.
- Refill. When the cooldown ends, a new rocket is put in the off hand. Staff can use
/aab give <player>to hand one over at any time.
Only rockets fired while gliding count. Firing one from the ground does nothing for the cycle. The refill is skipped if the player went offline or is now in a disabled world.
The cooldown
- Length.
firework.cooldownseconds, at least 1. The shipped value is 8. - Action bar. With
show-cooldown-messageon, a message updates every second with%time%replaced by the seconds left. Set the wording withcooldown-message. - Bypass. Players with
aab.bypasshave no cooldown. A fresh rocket appears one tick after they fire, so they can boost continuously. - Restarts. The cooldown lives in memory only. Leaving the server cancels it, and rejoining gives a fresh rocket.
Elytra protections
- Unbreakable. With
elytra.unbreakable, the elytra takes no durability damage and the given elytra is flagged unbreakable. - Locked on. With
elytra.enabled, players cannot take the elytra out of the armor slot, and shift-clicking a chestplate does not swap it while they wear the elytra. - No wall damage. Flying into a wall while gliding does no damage, in every world except the disabled ones.
The wall-damage protection applies to every player who is gliding, whether or not they hold the kit. In a disabled world it is off.
